German Citizenpeis and ambulances - two great news from last week

On September 14th, the award ceremony of the German Citizen Award 2022 of the district of Heidenheim took place in the concert hall and we were nominated and invited. And indeed: in the category "Everyday Heroes" Heidenheim-fuer-Ukraine.de e.V. was awarded as a prize winner! We are all very happy about that! We sincerely thank the Kreissparkasse Heidenheim, the Hanns Voith Foundation, the jury, "our" laudator Lord Mayor Michael Salomo and of course all the helpers - be it as a person, association, company or public institution - who made the achievements possible, which are honored by this beautiful award.
We would also like to congratulate our club member Nathalie Lehmann, who was awarded the Citizen Award 2022in the category "Under 21 years", among other things for her commitment in favor of her Ukrainian classmates at the Max-Planck-Gymnasium Heidenheim.
On September 15th, we were able to take over two decommissioned ambulances, which were purchased through donations, from Stuttgart Airport. Before the vehicles are transferred to the Ukraine at the beginning of October, they are to be equipped as much as possible with the necessary, partly very expensive medical equipment. Therefore a collection action took place on Saturday in the city center of Heidenheim.
ATTENTION: from now on, in-kind donations can no longer be handed in at the Jahnhaus but at our new domicile in Bühlstraße 30!
